A Closer Look | Artist Shoe
Introduced as one of the first An Irrational Element’s goodyear-welted footwear, the Artist Shoe has become integral to the footwear line-up. Released in multiple iterations such as black, chestnut, green & navy leather; I hope the Artist Shoe will have the integral features to be(come) a timeless style through its straightforward design and lasting quality.
Key characteristics of the Artist Shoe are as follows: Slip-on style, wholecut upper, cut top edge, contrasting double upper stitching, singular hand-stitched tongue detail, goodyear-welt construction, Italian Vibram mountaineering sole, leather lining & insole branding.
The name ‘Artist Shoe’ is a reference to the idea of the wearer enjoying & using the shoe through its ease, simplicity and functionality while being adapted in their everyday life. It’s mountaineering sole ensures strong grip and makes the shoe appropriate for outer-city trips. Another proposition of the Artist Shoe is the use in a casual and fashion-forward context as the sleek wholecut upper blends with a variety of personal styles.
Throughout the seasons the Artist Shoe has been featured in the style books, look books & editorials produced by An Irrational Element. Below a selection of images featuring the Artist Shoe in these features.
From personal experience the Artist Shoe holds up in many occasions, I’ve been wearing them for everyday strolls, dog walks, mountain hikes and much more. Below images of everyday my everyday wear of the Artist Shoe.
