The name 'An Irrational Element' derives from a passage written by Karl Popper in his book 'Logic of  Scientific Discovery', stating that every new discovery contains an irrational element. This thought has become the ethos for An Irrational Element and is the reason why I approach creators to work with me. The core motivation for approaching others to work with me is to explore the proces and outcome of blended disciplines, styles and even personalities.

The first creator to work with An Irrational Element is Audrey Fondecave, artist and editor of TOO MUCH magazine. I proposed Audrey to work with photographs I made in the last couple of years, the pictures are slices of my life. The most interesting and exciting about this project was to see how the creator worked with the restriction of working solely with the photographs, but having total freedom in how to translate this in the artist's terms.
